Much is said about the importance of vision in leadership. It is self-evident that the quality of an organisation reflects the attributes of its leader, for good or ill. Anyone who aspires to excel in leadership recognises the need for vision in order to inspire all those who work within the community and to set the direction of travel.

Human nature evidently encompasses a huge range of qualities and tendencies from the most glorious to the most dreadful; we regularly witness and experience a full spectrum of human conditions.

A truly holistic approach to life, whether one is a child, adolescent or adult, respects the need to care for the physical, intellectual, emotional and spiritual dimensions of our existence: each dimension is of importance and although referred to separately, they interrelate entirely.
